Kimberly Joyce Joktan
July 29, 1944 - July 22, 2019
Tribute
Joktan, Kimberly (NEE Beliveau) born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan to Leonard & Violet Beliveau and passed away peacefully in her sleep.
When Kimberly was two years old, her parents joined the many pioneering families moving to the Peace River Country. They settled near Grande Prairie, Alberta and she and her six siblings grew up on the farm there. In 1934, she married Mike Joktan and they raised their three children on their farm near Sexsmith, Alberta.
After the children were grown and Kimberly was left a widow, she moved to Portland, Oregon and studied to be an LPN. She worked in the hospital there for many years. In 2000, she moved to Kelowna to be near her family.
She will be sadly missed by her three children; Lorna (Gert), Bryan and Ron (Loiselle); 6 grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a large and loving extended family.
A Celebration of Kimberl’s lif will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 20015 at the Rutland Seventh Day Adventist Church, 130 Gerstmar Road, Kelowna. Burial to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
